COLUMBUS, Mont. – A 51-year-old Absarokee man is dead after crashing a UTV while spraying weeds on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.
According to the Stillwater County Undersheriff Randy Smith, Dustin Sturm died after his UTV rolled down a steep ravine, near Absarokee. Sturm was located by a search and rescue team at approximately 3:30 a.m. Thursday.
“Our hearts go out to the Absarokee community and the family as Dusty was a leader in the community, and a huge part of the Absarokee school system,” a press release from the Stillwater Sheriff’s Office read.
Montana Highway Patrol, Absarokee Fire and Ambulance, Stillwater County Search and Rescue assisted in the search.
