BUTTE – Looks like they will be rolling out the barrel in Butte this weekend. The Mining City is getting ready to host its 10th annual Oktoberfest Saturday.
Known as Butte-toberfest this event will feature beers from 19 breweries in Montana and in the Northwest.
The event will include live music throughout the day and all the funds go to a program that helps those in the community living with disabilities.
“Each year that we do Butte-toberfest the funds go Silver Bow Developmental Disabilities Council and so over the course of these 10 years we’ve purchased a bus, we built a teaching kitchen, we have a gym and then last year we purchased a food truck which we named Dish-ability,” said event organizer Cassie Wick.
The event begins at noon at the Original Mine Yard and runs until 7 p.m. Saturday.
