Missoula high school graduation ceremonies celebrate seniors

Friday afternoon Washington-Grizzly stadium was the place to be for Missoula high school seniors and their families.

The seniors from Sentinel, Big Sky and Hellgate High Schools walked to get their diplomas despite the COVID-19 pandemic Friday in three separate ceremonies.

Just after spring break, Missoula County Public School students moved to remote learning. And for most of these seniors this was the first and last time they will see their classmates.

Health officials allowed MCPS to conduct the graduations as long as graduates wore masks and crowd sizes adhered to social distancing.

The seniors had their own face coverings that repped their school mascots and colors.

Willard Alternative School celebrated their seniors on Thursday with their own celebration in the stadium.
