BOZEMAN — Muddy conditions on Foster Creek Road led to a rescue of three people on Monday night by the Gallatin County Sheriff's Search and Rescue.
According to a press release, on Monday, June 8 at 11:30 pm at 911 call from a stranded motorist was received by Gallatin County 911.
The driver was unable to stay on the roadway due to the "slimy/greasy" conditions of the wet mud and had two women with him in the truck. Two of the party had potential medical needs but were warm in the truck, but they felt overwhelmed by the situation and asked to be rescued. Gallatin County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue responded with ATVs and brought all three back to pavement. A GCSO deputy gave them a ride home.
Sheriff Gootkin would like to remind people that when there is an “impassable when wet” sign on a road, please don’t drive on it if it has recently rained or snowed.
