BOZEMAN — The American Comeback Tour will proceed as planned despite the recent death of its founder, Charlie Kirk, according to an announcement made by his widow, Mrs. Erika Kirk.
Kirk was scheduled to visit Montana State University campus on October 7 as part of the tour. The event remains on the schedule, though it's unclear who will replace Kirk as the speaker.

"My husband's mission will not end. Not even for a moment," Mrs. Erika Kirk said.
"Our campus tours this fall will continue, and there will be even more tours in the years to come," she added.
MSU students expressed mixed reactions when asked about their plans to attend the originally scheduled event.
"I would've been really excited to see him. I didn't know he was going to come until right now," one student said.
Another student indicated they would have attended out of curiosity, saying they "probably would've gone to see it just to check it out."
However, some students expressed concern about the event's safety implications.
"I do know people that were planning on going to it, which is really scary because if that would've happened here, who knows what would've happened to them," one student said.
MSU's Vice President of University Communications said the university has not received any communication from Turning Point USA regarding potential changes to the planned event. Tickets for the October 7 event remain available on the TPUSA website.

MSU Chief of Police Michael Stanley said the university may implement additional security measures for the event.
"Will we look at these things a little more critically than we normally do? Probably. I think it's safe to say everyone will do that. But I'm proud to say, we're pretty critical on those things already," Stanley said.
