BOZEMAN — In the last week, Bozeman Health has suspended all non-urgent medical services across all its care sites.
“It allows us to limit potential exposures in our facilities,” said Jason Smith, chief advancement officer with Bozeman Health.
“It also allows our care team members to be focused on potentially addressing the unique needs that COVID-specific patients may present at our facilities.”
All Bozeman Health employees and visitors are being checked for symptoms at every entrance, which includes a temperature test.
“In all of our patient care sites, we’ve created important separation between those patients that have respiratory symptoms and those who do not,” said Smith.
Bozeman Health is also planning for the future, adding 40 beds at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital and four at its facility in Big Sky.
They’re also looking into more supplies.
“We’re anticipating the need for more ventilators. We’ve already placed a significant order for more vents.”
And for those at home who may be stockpiling N-95 masks and other personal protective equipment, you may be able to donate those materials.
“Let us know that you got it. And that you’re willing contribute it into us. And we’ll put it on the list and in the event that we do in fact need it, someone will follow up with you.”
