Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport has released its winter schedule, and the airport looks to be busy due to new additions.

"American will begin daily service to Chicago. That’s in addition to the United service to Chicago, which is a nice competitive add, and going westbound we’re seeing Alaska Airlines add a fourth flight, round-trip to the Seattle market." Airport Director Brian Sprenger said.

Sprenger says he anticipates another record season for traveler numbers this season.

"Right now we’re looking at about a five percent increase over last year’s record numbers. So, it should be yet another over the coming winter," he said.

These record numbers will most likely result in longer lines.

"We really do recommend people getting to the airport early during the peak periods. That two-hour recommended time before departure is really just a good rule of thumb. It gives people plenty of time, especially if you’re checking bags. It gives you some cushion in case unexpected events happen between home an the airport." Sprenger said.
