BOZEMAN — Different businesses and agencies have had to adjust quite a bit to operate during the coronavirus pandemic.
Bogert Pool just opened its doors back up Monday, and officials tell us they’ve had to increase cleaning, while decreasing capacity and hours to make sure the pool is as safe as possible for their guests.
And while some safety measures may not be as feasible for an outdoor pool, other measures have been put in place.
“Social distancing is really not possible. We can try. We’ve asked the public to work with us as well. But it is the reason why we’re limited to 100 people. So city-county health department realizes in an outdoor pool, it’s really not practical to limit to 6 foot distancing with the activity in the rec you can see behind us,” explained City of Bozeman Parks and Recreation Director Mitch Overton.
Overton says the pool will be able to extend its hours if they get more lifeguards and employees at the facility. Lap swimming is currently not offered at the pool.
The pool is currently open for public swim Monday through Thursday from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays.
