BELGRADE, Mont. – Delta will be adding an additional non-stop flight to and from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport this spring.

The airline will add Saturday service to and from Detroit each weekend in the month of March. BZN used to have direct flights that flew to and from Detroit in the early 2000s before Northwest Airlines and Delta merged.

Detroit acts as a major hub for Delta and has more in common with Montana than you might think.

“Many people might not be aware that Big Sky is owned by a company called Boyne USA, and Boyne is based in Michigan,” Airport Director Brian Sprenger said. “And in fact, they have several ski hills in Michigan as well; there are multiple ties between the Detroit area, Michigan and Montana.”

The flight from Detroit will arrive in Bozeman at 10:38 a.m. and the flight from Bozeman to Detroit will depart at 12:15 p.m.
