BOZEMAN, Mont. – Officer Quinn Ellingson was deputized as a Task Force Officer for the US Marshal Service Montana Violent Offender Task Force Thursday at the Bozeman Police Department.
This will allow Officer Ellingson and the BPD to work alongside the U.S. Marshal Service to catch fugitives who commit violent crimes in the area. Ellingson says that not only will this help the catch criminals in the city limits of Bozeman but also allows for additional help outside the city.
“This allows us to go outside those city limits and increases our jurisdiction with the resources of the U.S. Martials. There’s really a lot more ability to find them once they have left the area as well.” Ellingson said.
Officer Ellingson was honored and looks forward to getting the program running in Bozeman.
