Lace up your shoes for brews: Oktoberfest race set for Bozeman

The Bozeman Running Company and seven local breweries will be sponsoring the Oktoberfest race in Bozeman, set for next Saturday, October 6.

In addition to a nearly five-mile run, the event will include a number of festivities at the race after party including a costume contest, blind beer tasting, log sawing, stein holding competitions, and hammer slogan. Spectators and participants will also get to enjoy German foods and drinks. The race will start and end near the East Gallatin Recreational Area and will run through a scenic trail system.

“The race starts on Manley Road, it’s going to loop through the East Gallatin Rec Area and also the Cherry Creek River Access, then it’s going to finish back into the east Gallatin Rec area where we’ll have a large party tent, beer garden,” Race Director, Ricardo Ramos said.

It costs $40 to participate in the race and you can sign up through race day.
