Great Falls Fire Rescue is working with Calumet Montana Refining to clean up a film that's been found on the Missouri River.

Crews are in the water using booms to remove the film and any potential contaminants from the river.

Some of the work is being done near the 15th Street Bridge.

GFFR says people can expect to see crews on the water conducting clean-up operations throughout the afternoon.

There is no word yet on the cause or nature of the film; we will update you if we get more information.

UPDATE: Calumet says that the film is from the city's sewer system, and GFFR requested assistance from Calumet in cleaning it up.
