Although the state is reporting 967 total cases, MTN does not include one case counted in Jefferson County that was traced to a resident of the county who was out of state and did not contract the virus in Montana.

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 is now at 22. On Friday, health officials in Rosebud County confirmed on Facebook the death of a person with a residence in the county who no longer lived there.

The post from Rosebud County did not say where, or if, the person was in Montana at time of death, but it is counted as a COVID-19 death in the state due to residency status.

There have been six other deaths due to COVID-19 in Toole County, three in Yellowstone County, two in Cascade County, and two in Flathead County. The other deaths have been reported in Big Horn, Gallatin, Lincoln, Madison, and Missoula counties.
