A woman in her 30s has tested positive for COVID-19 in Garfield County, according to the Garfield County Health Department.

The department said in a Facebook post that the woman was symptomatic and is isolating at home. County health officials received notification of the positive test result on Sunday.

"Garfield County Health Department has begun contact tracing, with outreach to all individuals determined to have been in close contact with this case and at risk for infection. These individuals will be notified and asked to be tested for COVID-19," the Health Department stated on Facebook.

The department urged residents to practice social distancing, avoid large crowds, and "wear a mask in situations where social distancing is hard to accomplish."
