Montana reported 45 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, July 5, 2020.
The state conducted 1,156 new tests for a total of 100,106.
The highest number of cases were again found in Yellowstone (16) and Gallatin (11) counties.
The other Montana counties reporting new cases are:
Big Horn County (3); Glacier County (3); Richland County (3); Lake County (2); Madison County (2); Beaverhead County (1); Flathead County (1); Hill County (1); Lewis and Clark County (1); Missoula County (1).

The State of Montana officially counts 1,212 cumulative cases.
MTN News includes the totals reported by individual Montana counties, which may include cases not counted by the state. As of Saturday night, MTN reported 1,176 cumulative cases. That total will be adjusted throughout the day as individual counties report positive tests not included in the state's morning update.
Active hospitalizations remain at 20, with 678 people listed as recovered. Montana currently reports 511 active cases.
The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 is now at 23.
Big Horn County reported its fourth COVID-19-related death Thursday evening, a woman in her 60s who was in the hospital.
