A tenth COVID-19 related death has been confirmed in the Mission Valley -- marking the second death in two days.
"We are deeply saddened to announce that a ninth Lake County resident has passed away from complications due to COVID-19 infection," a social media post from Lake County Public Health.
The case was confirmed in a male in his 90's. No further information is being released.
Lake County Public Health is also reporting that 17 new cases COVID-19 cases have been confirmed since the Monday update.
There are currently 231 active cases, down from the 245 reported on Monday. The number of recoveries has now increased to 785.
To date, 1,025 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed by Lake County Public Health.
Fifteen people remain hospitalized in Lake County.
