BUTTE - A Butte pediatrician is alarmed by the number of young people vaping and is taking her concerns to the school board.
Dr. Cathy White is one of several pediatricians going to school boards across the state to inform them about the dangers of vaping among school age children.
She says addition and health problems are on the rise in the state due to children vaping.
“We're seeing kids having trouble in school because of this. We're also seeing kids with lung problems, kids with asthma that haven't had it before or pneumonia, you know, when a kid comes in and has had pneumonia two or three times in the last for months and the only thing that's changed is they started vaping,” said Dr. White.
White adds she wants to see the vaping age raised to 21 and encourages people to talk to their children about the damages of vaping.
