Helen Alexander, 89, of Bozeman, MT, died Monday, December 7, 2020, at Crest Nursing Home, Butte, MT of Covid-19. Helen was born in Chicago, IL on May 6, 1931 to James and Mary A. (Hurless) Colovos. She graduated from Austin High School in Chicago. Throughout her life she lived in Chicago, IL, Kingston, RI, Cheyenne, WY, and Bozeman. She married Michael T. Alexander and together they raised three sons.
Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, crafts, and knitting. But she most enjoyed her family and preparing beautiful meals for special occasions.
She was a member of the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Cheyenne.
She is survived by her sons, Ted Alexander (Rhonda) and Steve Alexander of Bozeman; grandchildren, Jason Alexander (Jen) and Stephanie Alexander of Bozeman, and Nicole Alexander and Kimberly Alexander of Prescott, AZ; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Beau Alexander of Bozeman, and Alaysha Hernandez and Mya Sue Johnson of Prescott, AZ; sister, Patricia Tompulis of Chicago, IL; brother-In-law, Leo Schwaiger of Mahomet, IL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Alexander; sisters, Mary Venkus and Betty Schwaiger; and brother, George Katches.

Due to Covid-19, there will be no public visitation or service. A private family graveside service was held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Saint Anthony Orthodox Church in Bozeman.
