Strong wind and mountain snow develops for your Thursday

Today's Forecast: Strong winds and more clouds are expected for southwest Montana for your Thursday. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s and low 30s for the area today. Winds are expected to gust between 15-30 mph through the afternoon and evening. As clouds begin to move into the region the southern portions of Gallatin, Madison, and Beaverhead counties will likely see pockets of snow develop which could leave 3”-6” of fresh snow in the mountains between Thursday afternoon and Friday evening. Valleys may see a light dusting of snow by Friday night with a light snow possible through the day on Saturday.

BOZEMAN: High: 34; Low: 19. After a chilly morning, daytime temperatures will climb back to the middle 30s with a stout southwest wind between 10-20 mph with gusts near 25. Clouds will be on the increase today with mountain snow showers expected by the evening. While there may be a few flakes moving through the area tonight, accumulation is expected to be minimal.

BUTTE: High: 30; Low: 15. Cool clouds and strong winds are expected for your Thursday. Winds will pick up out of the southwest between 10-20 mph with gusts near 25.

DILLON: High: 30; Low: 14. Chilly with a gusty westerly wind for your Thursday between 15-30 mph. Clouds will be on the increase with a few mountain snow showers possible today.

WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 26; Low: 6. Temperatures will warm quickly through the early afternoon before clouds roll in and bring light snow showers to the area.
