Light snow is falling in southwest Montana for your Wednesday. Mountain snow accumulation is expected to be between 1”-4” at pass level and 5” or more on many mountain peaks. Avalanche danger is high in back-country areas. Light accumulation is expected on valley floors with 1”-2” possible by tonight. Highs will stay in the 20s for most of the area with clearing skies tonight. Those clear skies will allow overnight lows to fall to the single digits or below zero in some areas. Use caution if you are driving today, especially on area passes.
BOZEMAN: High: 27; Low: 4. Light snow and a gentle wind will be in place for today. Expect snow showers to be patchy but will likely leave about 1” by the evening with 1”-2” possible by Thursday morning.
BUTTE: High: 28; Low: -10. Light snow is possible today but will come in small batches. Accumulation is expected to be near 1” by the evening before our skies clear and allow lows to fall below zero.
DILLON: High: 28; Low: 1. Light flurries are possible during the day before skies clear tonight and allow lows to fall quickly to near zero.
WEST YELLOWSTONE: High: 25; Low: -5. Light snow is likely with skies clearing during the overnight. Lows will fall back below zero by early Thursday.
