Virginia Elaine “Ginnie” Olson
1955 – 2018
Please do not mourn for me. I have been welcomed into the arms of our Lord Savior and all of my family and friends who have gone before me.
I am OK.
My father, Robert Tabor, and mother, Norieta Tabor, brought me into this world in Spokane, Washington. I was an Air Force brat and I traveled the country and overseas, then ended up back in Spokane when my father retired from the Air Force. There I graduated from Joel E. Ferris High School, went on to two years of community college, and started a career. Then, on a blind date, I met my future husband. We were married October 4, 1975. In 1996, we were fortunate enough to move our family to Bozeman, Montana. I had many different jobs during my life. But the most cherished and important was mother and homemaker to two beautiful boys who have become exceptional grown men. Did I mention I loved to cook? Ooh, how I loved to cook. It was great satisfaction to me that no one ever went home hungry.
I have left behind my husband of 43 years, Norman Olson; two sons, Donald Olson and his wife Katie Olson (Erickson), and Robert Olson and his wife Holly Olson (Lease); my four precious grandchildren, Clifford and Jett Olson and Isabelle and Tyler Olson; sisters, Kathleen Cross (Ken), Lorrie Hickman, and Elizabeth Hightower (Stu); and one brother, Charles Tabor (Laurie). There are also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. I loved you all.
So please do not mourn for me. Keep your memories in your heart. Because I am OK.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 24 at 1:00 P.M. at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. www.dokkennelson.com
