Pamela A. (Tocci) Whitmore, captured the hearts of all of us.  She passed away July 28, 2018, after 64 memorable years. Pam was born November 7, 1953, in Willow Creek, MT, to Raymond P. Tocci and Betty J. (Carter) Tocci.

Down Syndrome children are God’s gift to this world, teaching us to love unconditionally. Pam loved life and lived fully. She was a best friend, wife, sister and inspiration.

Pam met her true love, Lyle K. Whitmore, in 1982.   Lyle and Pam were inseparable, sharing all of life’s wonders and challenges side by side. Together they made a full life in Bozeman in their daily adventures around town.

Pam and Lyle were often seen walking down Main Street hand-in-hand. They were on their way to work, the bank or their favorite stores where many in the community embraced and supported their independent life.`

Pam and Lyle always dreamed of being married, owning a home and having children. After a 10-year courtship, they married July 25, 1993. In 2008, Pam and Lyle made their dream of owning a home come true. They lived there together with their “children,” Lady, Sam and Angel. Pam doted on Lyle until he passed away in 2010.

Pam was preceded in death by her true love, Lyle; her parents, Ray and Betty; and her brother, Rodney.

Pam is survived by her siblings, Larry (Beth) Tocci, Susan (Jack) Campbell, Mark (Brenda) Tocci, Knute Tocci, Bruce (Tina) Tocci, Randy Tocci, Scott (Julie) Tocci, Chris (Paula) Tocci; and her sister-in-law, Loreene Reid; and brothers-in-law, Layton Whitmore, and Scott Whitmore.

A memorial service for Pam is scheduled for Saturday, August 4th at 11:00 am at the Bozeman United Methodist Church.  Reception to follow serving Pam’s favorite foods:  white cake, vanilla ice cream, Pepsi, “doubled” ham, “doubled” eggs and Twinkies.

Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.  www.dokkennelson.com
