More aid is coming to Montana in response to COVID-19, in the form of 5,000 nasal swabs headed to Helena, according to press release from Senator Steve Daines.

“These swab kits are an important piece of testing that will help healthcare providers and help keep Montanans safe and healthy,” Sen. Daines said.

Governor Steve Bullock's office confirmed notification from FEMA on Friday of a shipment of 5,000 nasal swabs to the state's Disaster and Emergency Services and reports the swabs have not yet been delivered to the state's supply warehouse or public health lab.

(NOTE: An earlier version of this story stated the swabs had arrived in Helena. According to the Governor's Office, FEMA has confirmed the shipment but it has not yet been received.)
