A 72-year-old man died on Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash just south of Chief Plenty Coups State Park.

He was driving a 2005 Chevy Impala, and it is unknown if he was wearing a seat belt.

The accident was at the intersection of Pryor Gap Road and Edgar Road. The man failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and veered off the left side of the road.

The car went down the embankment and came to rest after hitting a tree.

The man was pronounced dead on scene.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is investigating this crash.
