Teen hurt in accidental Missoula shooting

MISSOULA – A local teen was taken to the hospital on Thursday night after a firearm accidentally was discharged into his face.

Emergency dispatch received a call of a gunshot wound around 6 p.m in the area of the 1700 block of Margaret Street.

When police arrived at the scene they found an 18-year-old who sustained a gunshot wound to his face.

The injuries were non-life threatening but the teen was still taken to the hospital.

Police finished their investigation into the matter and determined that the gun was accidentally discharged.

There were other teens with the 18-year-old but no one else was hurt in the incident.
