BUTTE — The Butte Central Education Foundation is close to reaching its goal of half a million dollars for its annual fundraiser.
"We’ve had just tremendous response. You know this year has been really difficult you know from a financial standpoint for private schools, but we’ve made a plea and really reached out to all those generous folks that we’ve had," said Don Peoples Jr., the President of Butte Central Catholic Schools.
The foundation needs $11,000 in order to reach its goal of $500,000. The money being raised is to help the Butte Central schools during this difficult time.
"We’re just very appreciative of our supporters, the parish community, the business community in Butte, and our alumni and friends around the country so it’s been a blessing and we’re very grateful," Peoples said.
