MADISON COUNTY — Fish, Wildlife & Parks announced today that Friday’s virtual Montana Fish and Wildlife Commission meeting has been postponed.
The Commission was supposed to meet and discuss the Madison River Recreation Management Environmental Assessment, and take public comment on FWP’s proposed alternatives in the EA.
FWP said in a statement:
“Having heard concerns about the economic impact of COVID-19 and being sensitive to uncertain and changing business dynamics, the Montana Fish & Wildlife Commission has postponed its June 12 meeting…”
Commissioners were to decide whether or not the EA should be released for public comment, as well as take public comment from meeting attendees.
But now, commissioners will take up the issue in August.
The draft EA is available online, and has not been formally adopted.
Further details about where the meeting will take place in August has not been announced.
