MTN's Gaby Krevat reports on what activities will be taking place in Bozeman to honor our veterans.
Here are some of the local veterans day events going on today:
A public breakfast starts at 7 this morning at American Legion Post 14 on Main Street in Bozeman.
At 8 this morning there is a Belgrade Schools assembly to honor veterans.
There will be an all school assembly at 8:30 a.m. to honor veterans day at the Manhattan Christian, Gallatin Gateway, Chief Joseph and Sacajawea schools.
At 9 a.m. there will be school assemblies at Morning Star Elementary in Bozeman, and at the Three Forks High school.
At 10 a.m. Bozeman High will hold its Veterans Day Assembly as well the Whitehall High school.
Also at 10 this morning, there will be a Veterans Day ceremony at the Butte Civic Center.
At 10:45 a.m., veterans will be honored at the Dillon Middle School.
At 11 this morning there will be a Veterans Day service at the Vietnam Wall at the Sunrise Hills Cemetery in Bozeman.
Also at 11 this morning, there will be a ceremony at Hillcrest Cemetery in Deer Lodge.
At 11:11 a.m. the 82nd Veterans Day Race will get off to a chilly start in Butte beginning at the new American Legion Hall at the corner of Wynne and McKinley Avenues. That race was started in 1934 by a pair of World War I vets.
At 11:35 a.m. there will be a Manhattan High assembly and lunch for Veterans Day.
At 12:30 p.m. the Bozeman Lodge holds a Veterans tribute and lunch.
There will be a Veterans Day school Assembly at 2 p.m. at the Monforton School.
At 4 p.m. there will be a Veterans Day ceremony at Post 87 in Manhattan.
And at 6 p.m. this evening there will be a Veterans Day Dinner at the Olive Garden Restaurant in Bozeman.
