If you are anxious to take down your Christmas tree this weekend, the City of Bozeman has sites open and ready for drop-off.
The city asks that you make sure all decorations are removed, including any twine or rope that you might use for hauling.
Trees should be left whole rather than cut up into pieces so city equipment can easily take care of the trees.
And city officials say they can't take wreaths or garlands.
The drop-off sites are:
- Gallatin County Regional Park, off of Oak Street
- BMX park on Tamarack (entrance on Tamarack Street)
- Christie Fields, off of East Mason Street
- Softball complex off of Haggerty Lane
Bozeman's forestry division says it expects that these sites will stay open through the end of January.
