‘Get Poked for Caden:’ Annual blood drive set for Wednesday

Posted

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The annual “Get Poked for Caden” Blood Drive takes place Wednesday, June 26 at the Commons in Bozeman from 10 a.m to 3:30 p.m.

In 2012, Caden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of childhood cancer and had 35 blood transfusions.

This is one of the biggest blood drives and it was originally started by friends when Caden was fighting cancer and has continued in the community for eight years now.

“We feel really blessed that Caden is here and doing well and we get to keep doing this every year and have Caden there with a smile on his face and see the community come out and give back in this way,” Caden’s mother Pam Shrauger said.

“I got poked so many times, you can get poked so many times too, or poked once,” Caden said.

If you would like to register for the blood drive, you can visit bloodhero.com. The sponsor code is: getpokedforcaden

Walk-ins are welcome.
