School Board confirms name for Bozeman’s second high school, chooses new principals

BOZEMAN, Mont. – It’s official! Bozeman’s new, second high school will be called Bozeman Westslope High School.

The other two name choices were Bozeman Spanish Peaks High School and Bozeman Storm Castle High School.

The School Board confirmed the new name at its Monday night meeting. A mascot for the high school has yet to be chosen.

The board also chose Dan Mills, assistant principal at Athens High School in Troy, Michigan as a replacement for former Bozeman High School Principal Kevin Conwell, who stepped down due to illness.

Bozeman High Assistant Principal Erica Shnee was chosen to be the new principal at Bozeman Westslope.
