BOZEMAN, Mont. – We are HER is a nonprofit for trauma survivors that was founded in October 2016 by a young woman who moved to Bozeman in 2014.

Stevie Croisant started the We are HER blog to give men and women a place to have a voice after experiencing trauma such as sexual assault. The nonprofit’s online presence has had great internet success worldwide, and Croisant hopes to build on that, partnering even more with the local community in Bozeman.

“You have this community behind you who believes you, who wants to know your story and wants to be there for you,” Croisant said. “So that has been really empowering, to see survivors from all over the world to come together and let everyone else know, ‘Hey I hear your story, it’s important, thank you for sharing.’”

There will be a gathering at the Farmers Daughter’s Cafe early next month for women to be able to connect with one another. Croisant hopes to connect with partners in Bozeman to offer as much support locally as We are HER’s blog has worldwide.
