BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Children’s Museum of Bozeman hosted it’s third Women in STEM event to encourage girls to work in the field.

On Saturday, kids helped 8 women from the community that work in science, technology, engineering, or math fields to create a pumpkin catapult.

Director of Education Natalia Kolnik believes hands-on events help spark interest.

“You never know what kind of questions kids are gonna ask their parents,” said Kolnik. “Or even what they dream about. Like if they wake up and they say, ‘I built a catapult in the sky and launched it with dragons,’ you know, that is great. The imagination is endless.”
