BOZEMAN, Mont. – Registration is underway for the annual Out of the Darkness Bozeman Walk, an event to raise awareness and funds for suicide prevention.
The event will be held Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Gallatin County Regional Park in Bozeman. The walk begins with check-in at 9 a.m. and ends at 1 p.m.
Online registration closes at noon on Friday, Sept. 7. However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts at 10 a.m. Registration is free and open to the public. Walk donations are accepted until Dec. 31.
The Out of the Darkness Walks are an effort to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to meet a goal of reducing the annual suicide rate by 20 percent by 2025.
