Great Falls author and Georgia native, Michelle Bradshaw, always dreamed she'd be an author.

Now after more than six years of teaching, she's made that dream a reality.

Bradshaw has published two books while also caring for her son Brayden, the inspiration for her latest release, “Brayden the Brave”.

The self-published author hopes to make an impact through her books, both of which have positive messages. The message behind “Brayden the Brave” is “everybody gets scared” while her other publication’s is “everybody’s different.”

“I really hope that some doors will open and like kids will love my books. The biggest thing I want to do is to help people,” Bradshaw said.

Bradshaw does help people, especially her son, who has special needs.

She’s currently working on Brayden’s reading skills, by reading him her newest-and his favorite-book.

“She reads. She reads to me. I just do the sounds,” Brayden said.

Bradshaw is working on the sequel to “Brayden the Brave” as well as a new addition to her other series, “Amelia and the Secret of Stoney Manor.”

You can check out her book on Amazon or listen to one of her book readings at the Great Falls Public Library.
