BOZEMAN — It’s another stretch of road closed off for construction in Bozeman.

Crews are working on Davis Lane to the northwest of downtown and expect it to cause some slowdown in a busy area.

The closure started this week.

City officials say crews are adding a turn lane into this intersection, which has Davis Lane blocked off between Baxter Lane and Cattail.

Many are telling us that this, coupled with detours from Cottonwood and Ferguson to the south, is making the detours confusing.

“Please, please follow the detour routes," says Melody Mileur, communications coordinator for the City of Bozeman. "They’re there for a reason. They are going to direct you on the arterial roads or roads that our engineers have determined are the best suited for handling that level of traffic and please be respectful of the residential areas that are in and around these construction zones.”

Crews add that if you can avoid the area, which includes the Gallatin County Regional Park, do so, if possible.
