Sheriff’s Office investigating multiple Gallatin Valley trailhead thefts

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office says in a media release it is investigating several vehicle break-ins that occurred at multiple trailheads over the weekend in the Gallatin Valley.

According to the release, deputies investigated more than ten thefts from vehicles at trailheads on Saturday. Sites included Sypes Canyon, Middle Cottonwood, Sourdough and Tuckerman on Goldenstein.  Vehicles parked at the trailheads have had windows smashed and items taken.

Gallatin County Sheriff Brian Gootkin said his deputies are following leads and reminds the public to always leave valuables at home or out of sight when parked at trailheads.
