BOZEMAN — On Tuesday, those who are asymptomatic could start signing up for Price Rite’s drive through COVID-19 testing, right here in Bozeman. According to https://doineedacovid19test.com/, it’s only one in Montana.

“It takes 5 minutes, maybe, if that,” said Price Rite owner Randy Harrington.

Not only does the test take five minutes, but so does signing up online. However, they have found that they do have time for unscheduled appointments as well.

“You can either go to our home website page and there’s a hyperlink to it, or you can go to do I need a https://doineedacovid19test.com/," said Harrington.

Once you get to the testing site, the process is simple, the employees at Price Rite are there to help every step of the way.

“You can drive up, basically we have flip signs, we don’t people getting out of the car, we don’t want people getting out of the window and there’s little prompts that we ask, tell the people how they’re going to do it," Harrington said. "Through these step processes, we hand them the stick and the vile and then they do a nasal probe. It (takes) 15 seconds, its not too deep, it does cause a few tears.”

If you’re patient, it doesn’t take long to get your test back.

“In three to five days you go back to the website you registered on and you see if you are indeed positive or negative," Harrington said. "If your positive, they do notify the county health department.”

For Harrington, he thinks the more tests, the better.

“The more these are done, it’s going to give the country and the CDC a more accurate representation of truly how many patients have it and truly how many don’t have it,” he said.
