BOZEMAN — Montana's stay-at-home directive, in many cases, is still bringing out the best in some people.

That includes Bozeman musicians who want to help, like singer/songwriter Dane Thompsen.

On Wednesday, the people living in Brookdale Springmeadows Assisted Living got a treat from out their window.

Thompsen, who used to frequent Bozeman stages in diners and restaurants when they were open, brought his guitar and his voice to them.

At one point, he even sang to one of the residents while she was in her car.

"I just love playing music, obviously, so just getting a little taste of being normal again, you know?" Thompsen says. "I miss it so much, so I I figured if I can't go see music, myself, I might as well play music for other people."

Thompsen, like others, plans to keep bringing his music to other assisted living homes and front porches in the days to come.
