BELGRADE — Turkey Day!

For many, it’s the first big holiday that sends family members and friends traveling across the country.

From just a few of the folks filtering into the terminal, you can feel the holiday vibe.

Mostly on the flight schedule monitors, nine flights from Denver, Minneapolis and others are seeing some hour-plus delays due to weather.

And the most busy day is yet to come.

According to the airport director, Sunday will be the biggest day for travelers, and that’s just for this Thanksgiving.

The airline is expecting a 9.2 percent uptick in fliers.

On Sunday, alone, that means about 2,200 people will be coming through this airport.

"We're having record traveling, so that's always a little bit of a challenge but good," says Brian Sprenger, Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport director. "We are seeing a little bit of weather-impact from different areas of the country, Denver yesterday, Minneapolis today. Last night, we even had fog here impacting one flight."

The airport director says the longest delays from those two airports were, again, about an hour or a little more.
