MOLT – The Medicine Man fire, which has been burning since Thursday, was 100 percent contained on Tuesday morning.
Interim Yellowstone County DES Coordinator Kent O’Donnell said the fire has now been turned back over to the Molt Fire Department, who will run patrols throughout the day to make sure nothing flares up.
O’Donnell said the cooler temperatures over the last few days helped crews get control of the fire, which burned 550 acres.
The fire was likely started by a lightening strike on Thursday evening.
