WAPITI, Wyo. – A woman is dead and her husband is in the hospital after authorities say he killed her, than tried to kill himself.
According to a press release from the Park County Sheriff’s Office, a call came in to their dispatch center from a man who said his father, Dennis Klingbeil, 76, had killed his mother, Donna Klingbeil, 75. He went on to tell deputies his father told him he took multiple pills with the intention of killing himself.
Deputies immediately responded to the residence, and found both Klingbeil’s alive. Donna had suffered from a gunshot wound and was flown to a Billings hospital where she later died. Dennis suffered from an apparent overdose and was taken to a hospital in Cody. His condition is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
