Crash sends two to hospital, snarls traffic on I90

A crash between Belgrade and Manhattan caused traffic delays for about an hour and a half Thursday afternoon and left one woman hospitalized.

According to Montana Highway Patrol Sergeant Patrick McLaughlin, the crash happened around 1:30 p.m. with a 19-year-old man had a tire failure in the east-bound lane and lost control of his vehicle, causing him to go into the median, where his car rolled several times.

A 49-year-old female was unrestrained n the backseat and was airlifted to Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital, then transferred to St. Vincent in Billings.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Speed and alcohol are not suspected as factors in the crash.

The driver and passenger are from out of state, their identities are not being released at this time.
