BILLINGS – A man armed with a rifle tried to rob a Billings casino late Monday night.
Police said in a press release officers responded at 11:15 p.m. to the Suds Hut Casino at 1110 Broadwater for a reported robbery.
A female employee told officers a Hispanic male in his 20s wearing a blue bandana over his face entered the casino with a rifle and yelled, "This is a robbery."
The employee was in a backroom and the robber ordered three patrons to throw their cell phones on the floor.
The robber appeared frustrated the casino employee was not present and fled the business out the front door.
Officers checked the area and located a rifle and other items of evidence but did not locate the suspect.
No injuries were reported.
