BOZEMAN – Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks volunteers were honored for their years of service on Saturday at the Commons in Bozeman.

Awards were given to volunteers who teach hunter and bow safety classes. There were over 20 different people who have volunteered between 5-40 years. Melvin Keiniger from Butte has taught hunter safety classes in various places around Montana for 30 years.

“I start thinking about the people I have worked with, the youngster, the situations I have been put in and I feel that I have had a positive impact for bow hunting, hunting in general and just working with youth and helping them learn new things,” said Kieniger.
