BOZEMAN – Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital reports that it has seen a significant decrease in the number of influenza cases throughout the past three weeks. As of Tuesday, visitor restrictions have been lifted at the hospital.

In a press release, the hospital stated that the restrictions had been in place to help prevent the spread of flu within the hospital. Although the restrictions have been lifted, Bozeman Health asks that “anyone experiencing mild cold or flu symptoms refrain from visiting the hospital until their symptoms have resolved.”

The hospital further reminded the public that the flu is highly contagious and a “major cause” of acute bronchitis and pneumonia.

Bozeman Health listed immunization and frequent hand washing as the best defense against influenza.
