The National Republican Congressional Committee has identified 55 Democrat-held House seats to flip during the 2020 elections.

The list, which was first reported by Roll Call Thursday and confirmed by CNN, is predominately composed of freshmen members of Congress.

Nine veteran members, however, were highlighted as vulnerable seats. Three members who have held their seats for over 20 years were included on the list — Reps. Colin Peterson from Minnesota, Peter DeFazio of Oregon, and Ron Kind of Wisconsin.

Kind and Peterson both represent districts that voted for President Donald Trump in the 2016 election. Hilary Clinton won DeFazio’s district by a tenth of a point in 2016.

Many of the freshman lawmakers targeted by the NRCC are members who either flipped a Republican seat in 2018 or won districts carried by Trump in 2016.

“Freedom or socialism — that’s the choice in 2020,” said NRCC Chairman Tom Emmer in a statement to Roll Call.

The NRCC also identified the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairwoman, Rep. Cheri Bustos, as a vulnerable candidate for 2020.

Last week the DCCC released its own battlefield map of targeted districts. The list of 33 districts includes many growing suburban areas.
