Denver, CO (KMGH) — Investigators in Denver are looking into a possible connection between the deadly carjacking on W. Colfax Ave. early Friday and a string of other crimes that happened the same day in Wyoming and Utah.

Denver Police officers responded to the intersection Perry St. and Colfax Ave. on a report of a possible carjacking and shots fired call just before 2 a.m. When police got to the scene, they found a man who had been shot. The victim later died at a hospital.

The suspect in that crime (pictured above) eluded police after a brief chase on Interstate 25, police said.

About two hours later, shortly after 4 a.m., the Cheyenne Police Department in Wyoming was investigating a robbery at a Loaf N Jug. Police there said three suspects walked into the store and stole merchandise as well as cash before leaving in a black-colored 2015 CTS Cadillac four-sedan with Colorado license plate 208-QON – the same vehicle described in the carjacking that took place earlier in Denver.

Six hours later, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office in Utah said their deputies were investigating a robbery at a Wells Fargo bank in Park City. In that robbery, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and demanded money. No one was injured.

According to Summit County deputies, surveillance photos from inside the bank showed two suspects men and a woman – her involvement is unknown at this time, deputies said. They also said they were driving a stolen 2015 Cadillac CTS with Colorado license plate 208-QON.

Cheyenne Police would later say in a press release that they could confirm that the male suspects from the Utah robbery “were the same individuals in the robbery in Cheyenne.

If you see any of the suspects, you are asked to call your local law enforcement agency immediately.
