Man found dead in Palm Beach County home, 50 dogs recovered

    PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. (WPTV) — Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is now in care of 50 dogs after they were recovered from a home along Roan Lane near Northlake Blvd. in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

According to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, they were called to assist with a welfare check by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

According to ACC, a family member initiated the request. Once ACC got to the home 50 dogs were found alive along with a deceased puppy and a deceased man.

It’s unclear how long the man had been dead inside the home.

According to Animal Care and Control, a brother of the deceased also came to the home and surrendered the animals to ACC.

Peggy Adams is now in care of all 50 dogs which range in age from 1 week to around 13-years-old.

A couple of birds were also discovered in the back of the home, according to neighbors. Two neighbors said they would take care of them.

Peggy Adams is working to rehabilitate the dogs. Some have hair and teeth loss as well as fleas.
