CLEVELAND (WEWS) — A high-ranking Cleveland Fire Department official has been arrested a second time over a span of two days for allegedly trying to board a plane while intoxicated.

According to Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson’s office, Fire Battalion Chief William Graham was taken into custody at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Tuesday just after 7 a.m.

Graham was arrested for disorderly conduct, authorities said.

Graham was first arrested Monday for disorderly conduct at the airport. That incident happened around 1 p.m.

According to the police citations, Graham was allegedly drunk and acting belligerent at one of the airport’s gates. In both cases, an airline refused to allow him to board a plane.

The citations state that Graham had a “heavy odor” of alcohol coming from him.

He is currently on restricted duty.

Graham has worked for the Cleveland Fire Department for the past three decades, the mayor’s office stated.
